Ups and Downs.
Life is full of ups and downs.
I'm not happy always, neither am I sad always.
I guess its tiredness, or discouragement.
Somehow both come together.
But with God's presence, I'm safe.
I'm rejecting it, pushing it away with all I can.
It won't land on me at all costs!
But I will still need to learn, need to ask some questions, and get some answers.
I had a revelation.
What is the key to life?
More important than communication, more important than relationships, and of course less important than God, that is Love.
Have you ever felt un-loved? Then go on to feel depressed?
I tell you, the solution is love. Both for the recieving and giving end.
And this saying is true.
"You can give without loving, but cannot love without giving."
So if you want to love somebody, start giving.
And if you need love, start giving too. Because it's a spark that will keep get the fire started.
People with a character of love will attract others with a character of love.
Didn't the bible already tell us, "the greatest of these is love"?
"Love your neighbour as you love yourself"
"For God so loved the world that he gave"
It is a principle, just like gravity will pull you downwards. Love is powerful indeed.
What is greater than forgiving? It is to love.
What can uproot the bitterness of hate or wrong? It is to Love.
Swing it to the other extreme. If you say you want to forgive without loving and reconciliating, you haven't really forgiven.
You don't have God in you if you don't have love.
So, LOVE!

Ah. Back home after a long day. It started off by dropping Dad off at harbourfront early in the morning. Then heading over with mom to pick Evelyn at her house, then to the office after a short breakfast.
Then at the office, it was photo time. Capturing the building, and the interiors, and also discussing the details of the website. With a 3-4hr nap on the leather couch. That gave me the energy to live again. Then off to home to drop mom, pick bro, and off to jurong to pick the guys, and flying down to Mediacorp only to arrive almost an hour early without money, and a place to buy food. Ended up eating Lousy vending machine sandwiches. After sitting around for another hour, the show finally started. LIVE THE DREAM. We were there to support AFTER THE RAIN. And interesting show, and look into all the happenings backstage. The whole setup was really nice, but also surprisingly small. There were so many cameras around that every angle was covered, and broadcasted live. And then our band lost. Oh well, at least they've come so far, they're great.
Then we got lost and ended up somewhere serangoon. Even the GPRS didn't do much good. And my wallet was empty. So nothing was working out right. I wanted to meet the guys at heeren, but well, I had another load of passengers in the car. So we headed towards home the moment we found our way. And stopping by along the way, trying to get internet so that I could transfer some cash into my bank, and the draw it out later. so troublesome. But anyway, I ended up going all the way home to get some cash and do the transfer, and then head over to an eating place where was closed, and sped to another which thankfully was open. nice porridge, and then home sweet home for everybody.
Phew. Its another busy day tmr man. It's time I list down and strike out. I wanna rest, but also wanna be fruitful with my time. sometimes it gets over fruitful. haha.
I will upload the pics another day I guess.
Time to work offline. zzz

I was just chitchatting with a friend, Valerie, I met on the Bintan Trip. Got to know her through Elaine, which it was also only during the trip that I really got to know Elaine. Before that, I only see her during zone meetings, and bible study classes n stuff. haha. She's such a great person really. Back to the point, I was sending Val some pics of the wedding, and we were chatting and chatting, and we realised, that we both went on the trip to Israel in 2004. Of course, out of the multitudes, I didn't know her then, but somehow I might have seen her before. So anyway, I started a search for pics of Israel in my old online photo albums, and I remembered this picture I took with Pst Ulf when I was there. This is all that i could salvage because I lost the originals due to a disk failure. Ever since, I have learnt to backup everything. haha.
And yes, about the Bintan wedding of Isaac and Dominique, It was tremendous. I went there with Daniel, and had a great time. It was a seaside wedding. They exchanged their vows at the seaside, with the background of a setting sun. Just you wait to see the photos. I will probably upload them only another day. because its so late already.
Today, I went with the other guys, all students of Belle, to her house to celebrate her be-early-ed birthday. How early? 5 days early. haha. but it was fun. All the planning put in, mostly by Adam, and the way everything was done, pretty hilarious. When I post the pics another day, you will see. Then we went on to Lot 1, Siam Kitchen, to have a buffet meal. Pics later, but it was a really fun and enriching time of fellowship. :)

It's 2.25am, but I must blog about this.
I just found such a great friend!
I'm so falling asleep now.
But it's made me so happy.
I'm just so indescribably happy.
So sleepy yet so happy.
The joy of friendship.
I'm hardly so happy, and I really am now!
If only you could see me on the inside!
Right, I'm about to collapse on my bed from fatigue.
Nights blog. :)

Pics pics and more pics.
Here's my brother's violin. at least it sounds much better than all his previous violins. haha

And that's him in the position he's in most of the day, everyday. haha

A look outside my balcony last night. look at the clouds!

Then turn to the right, the concrete jungle. At least I still see some clouds.

This is my battle cry instrument! haha

Thats all for now. This week I'm supposed to rest, because the moment my holiday's started about 3 weeks ago, I've been busy with this and that. Actually I've been busy even before the holidays started. And finally, its time for me to have a good rest, and realise that I only have 3 more weeks till school starts. Dad's going overseas in a weeks time, and that means I have the CAR! YAY! haha. But that's unless I have things to do with it. I'm going overseas too! this saturday, for a wedding in Bintan! It should be fun! Nice beaches and all. I'll bring my camera along. haha. Now I'm recovering from sore eyes that my brother passed to me. And it came from some apparently hardworking classmate who came to class with sore eyes. How considerate. And I was also down with fever few nights ago, and lastnight. I wonder why. Maybe I went out yesterday even when I was tired. Now a sore throat. I'm a tough guy, I will get going. haha. I haven't been blogging like this since a long time ago. It feels like the old times, kinda good. Makes me feel free, relaxed. haha.

I just got this interesting article in an email from my mom.
Hope you'll like it and it will make you a happier person.
Beware of Garbage Trucksby David J. Pollay
How often do you let other people's nonsense change
your mood? Do you let a bad driver, rude waiter,
or an insensitive employee ruin your day? Unless
you're the Terminator, for an instant you're probably
set back on your heels. However, the mark of a
successful person is how quickly he/she can get back
her focus on what's important.
Sixteen years ago I learned this lesson. I learned it
in the back of a New York City taxi cab. Here's what
happened.
I hopped in a taxi, and we took off for Grand Central
Station. We were driving in the right lane when, all
of a sudden, a black car jumped out of a parking space
right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his
breaks, skidded, and missed the other car's back end
by just inches!
The driver of the other car, the guy who almost caused
a big accident, whipped his head around and he started
yelling bad words at us.
My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I
mean, he was friendly. So, I said, 'Why did you just
do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us
to the hospital!'
And this is when my taxi driver told me what I now
call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'
Many people are like garbage trucks. They run around
full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger,
and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up,
they need a place to dump it. And if you let them,
they'll dump it on you. When someone wants to dump on
you, don't take it personally.
You just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on.
You'll be happy you did.
So this was it: The 'Law of the Garbage Truck.' I
started thinking, how often do I let Garbage Trucks
run right over me? And how often do I take their
garbage and spread it to other people: at work, at
home, on the streets? It was that day I said, 'I'm not
going to do it anymore.' I began to see garbage
trucks. I see the load they're carrying. I see them
coming to drop it off. And like my Taxi Driver, I
don't make it a personal thing; I just smile, wave,
wish them well, and I move on.
One of my favorite football players of all time,
Walter Payton, did this every day on the football
field. He would jump up as quickly as he hit the
ground after being tackled. He never dwelled on a hit.
Payton was ready to make the next play his best.
Good leaders know they have to be ready for their next
meeting. Good parents know that they have to welcome
their children home from school with hugs and kisses.
Teachers and parents know that they have to be fully
present, and at their best for the people they care
about.
The bottom line is that successful people do not let
Garbage Trucks take over their day. What about you?
What would happen in your life, starting today, if you
let more garbage trucks pass you by?
Here's my bet.
You'll be happier.
So.. Love the people who treat you right.
Forget about the ones who don't.
Believe that everything happens for a reason.
If you get a chance , TAKE IT!
If it changes your life , LET IT!
Nobody said it would be easy...
They just promised it would be worth it!

It's back to blogging! After an absence of a week or two.
Just yesterday it was the graduation of 4 beloved cell members from School of Theology. It was an emotional day. Two of them, Christine and Siewmin are going back to malaysia today. Gonna miss them both alot. They've been here for 4 months, but I've only known them for about 2. However, they've certainly found a place deep in my heart. I pray they be blessed as they return home.
And also yesterday, quite a few of my cell members and I went for "So you think you can sing?" auditions. I think we all did pretty well. So, we'll wait for the results to come out. I hope some of us do get in. The competition's pretty strong.
It's 7am in the morning! How? I slept almost immediately when I reached home yesterday evening. And so, for one of the rare occasions, I get to see the morning sun. ahh. how refreshing.
Usually I only get to see it if I sty awake the whole night. I hope this new sleeping time changes. haha
And so, over the past few weeks or months, I've grown to know my cell members alot more. It's good that after so long a period, I've finally been able to have a new cell that I can safely call home. Lovin Zhipeng and Jess.
