Life in front of the screen.
Computer screen, TV screen, handphone screen, projector screen.
Has our visual life been limited only to a rectangle of light?
That's probably why so many people wear specs. Do you realise that our eyes can see so much more, and a much wider view than any form of digital media can contain? The recording capabilities are only a mere minute fraction of what the actual scene is, and also what our human eye can see.
Try going to a high scenic spot. Be captivated of the wide and beautiful view you see. now try to capture it on say, a camera. How much can you capture? only a fraction of the horizon right?
Pictures and videos no matter how advanced, can only be a mere subsitution of bringing a glimpse of the reality to another place. Don't settle for it. Aspire to experience it first hand.
Looking however, from the other point of view, if you lived your life in a certain place, with a lack of finances and ability to see the real things, then it's actually also a really good way to see the world at a cost almost close to nothing. But then also, pay for things later on like, medical bills, from the lack of exercise, eyecare bills, electrical bills, hardware bills.
Get a life. There's so much fun out there. If only there would be a power shutdown in the World for 1 day. Maybe then we would learn to get out there and experience the real beauty of the world, and society.
Technology is great. Lets use it to maximise the potential of our lives, but lets be determined never to be handicapped by it.
You won! 12:38 AM
