On my birthday i went to Sentosa.. yea....sentosa island..
Dad drove us all in.. 2 bucks per person..and we paid a total of 12 bucks... cos the car is a person too huh..
we went to this dunno wad seaside restaurant..just near the entrance..
styloh huh.. Steamboat buffet, personal pot, no free drinks, good ambience, its a renovated jetty..so we're literally above the water..
the cost of 1 person? $15. total cost? $75.
and the value of the food there? $1 per person..y? cos it just has to cost cheaper than coffeeshop food!..
THe food there is the WORST... i've never paid so much for such horrible .. and i mean HORRIBLE food..
the rice...it was all slightly drier that fresh cooked rice..it has clearly been there for a long time..even so that about 20% of the rice.. has become.. crispy...and some in-between crispy and soft.. hard.. HORRIBLE...
Same for the Chicken Rice and the Spaghetti noodles..
The Spaghetti sauce...eww...it was so watery... no class..
the supposedy curry too...
cream of chicken soup? no standard.. worse than that which is cooked at home..
steamboat soup? they used Maggi chicken stock... which is so.. short cut.. cheapskate.. can't they just use something better...
i didn't eat everything..so thats all i had to comment on the food..
the service..
man..the people working there.. they didn't have a bad attitude or what.. but were just very... i dunno.. coffeeshop character.. they dun treat u like what u paid for..$15 a person.. they dun smile..bo chap...and they use the wierdest thing to clean the tables.. a brush and a dustpan..

1..when i put some steamoat soup into the chicken rice... it tasted awesome.. but what a crappy combi..
2..the watermelon. i loved is till then end..i was still stealing pieces before i left...it was cold, juicy and sweet! haha..
well..i'll never go back there unless the food gets better... but how'd i know unless i go back?...
i think that means i'll just never go back...
but i'll just keep telling others about
my experience...
anyway, dad drove us around sentosa for fun.. we went to beach, hill, and all that..
we came to costa sands resorts.first time i've been there..
i think if i ever book a chalet again, it'll be there. i've decided..haha..
wanted to book for w330..but well.. u guys have midyears.. we'll do other things then yea..
ice skating...hahha
well... about the restaurant.. we decided to get back our value for money..by? playing with fire.. hahaa..as u can see in the below pics.. hee hee...

This is the fire pot which contains the fire... i removed the lid...
i also added cream of mushroom soup, which made the hard fuel inside become watery.. probably cos of the salt..
and also 2 pieces of white chicken skin.. hee hee... an my flame became special for the birthday boy.. there were small sparks within the flame!! cool!!!

okay..anyway... i wasnt really in the birthday mood this time..just kinda cruised by it unknowingly..
My beloved cell celebrated with me after service, gave me a beautiful card and a present..
i had enough of cake.. i told my family not to buy me any.. haha...
and present? my parents asked me what i wanted.. and i really wasnt interested to get anything..i told my dad.. "dun want present" hahaha.
i din feel much different too anyway..lol...
of cos i did get 2 angpows from my granny and great granny..
that was my birthday, 2006.. haha.. and a belated present on its way..my driving license??? hahahaha..yes...
