I went to BB MRT after my exam to top up my fare card, went to westmall to check music stuff and bought some stuff from shop n save. Then i walked out..from the bread talk entrance, along the road. and i realised, opposite the road, there was a group of school children who were walking around the pavement under their mother's supervision, they were paying alot of attention to a silver van at the entrance of the carpark with a woman inside using her moblie phone. it seemed out the odds..i dunno why..but i just continued walking on...it wasn't till later i realised, there had been an accident! and a biker was lying in the middle of the junction beside his bike, and there was about 7 people around him sheltering him from the sun and giving him first aid. He was so 'konked out' that he didn't move. from then i thought it would already have been about 3mins since the actual impact.
I crossed the road, and realised people were starting to gather. so i stayed too. leaning against a handrail, i watched everything. nothing really hapened. people just got more n more, till it was about 70 people in all directions standing and looking. Then this old man came up to me! he started talkin to me..hmm... well, he said he was just about to cross the road when he saw it happened. the van was turning in towards westmall at the junction, but was maybe moving too slowly or the miker was too fast. so before the van cleared the way, the biker apparently zoomed straight into the van's butt and bang! there he was, helmet visor shattered, bleeding from his forehead, Honda racing bike in ruins and crowd around him. Boy, he really DIDN't move at all! while people were checking his breathing, heartbeat. right after the impact, the police and ambluance had been called. but i stood there...
time passed
minutes ticked by
nobody knew what to do but to wait
guess what the irony was. The police post was justabout 400 meters from the accident site. the Poly clinic was just 150 meters from the accident site. and NOBODY(police or docs) came..fine, to at least direct traffic n save his live. well probably it had been communications problems? i guess. so all in all, it took up to 15mins i was standing there talking to the uncle, lookin at the man from afar of n the situation. finally..a doctor and 3 nurses walked out from the polyclinic. then followed slightly later by a male nurse and male doc. the nurses were like carrying boxes of stuff..kinda alot..haha..they slowly walked at first, then broke into a jog, and slight run and they reached. but was a time to arrive, just 1 min after the doc reached the man, the ambulance came round the corner. turned in slowly, with a relaxed pace, found a place to stop at the roadside. then it took awhile more for the parademics to walk out of the ambulance. one with a heart restarter kit ran jogged to the guy after awhile. later then they decided to open the back doors, and it took some time before they took out the stretcher, and then later a scooper to shovel him up, and slowly wheeled him into the back of the ambulance..hm..it was just before the went into the ambulance that he srated to wriggle his legs. he was wearing slippers, so they were totally scattered on the road. and nobody bothered enough to pack it into the ambuance with him.haha.
that was the end of the episode. and i finally went home.
met my neighbour's mother along the way and went back together. i remembered i had bought japanese chicken earlier, and i checked, its was still cold.haha.
